I've been a customer of FNB for more than year's now, and do ALL my banking with them. I recently applied for a home loan but was declined. Standard bank however have come through with the home loan.
Its very disappointing that the bank I've been using all this time has declined the home loan but can call me a week later to offer me an overdraft and insurance on the overdraft for my cheque account, surely if i dont qualify for a home loan, I wouldn't qualify for an overdraft on my cheque account either.
Why is it that Standard Bank can offer me a loan and FNB cannot, do different banks use different qualifying criteria?
Considering moving all my banking to Standard Bank.
