I called Nedbank a week ago to raise my credit limit on my credit card, while I do some home improvements. They informed I qualified for a 5k raise in my limit, but said I could apply for more if I supplied supporting docs, in this case, my recent bank statements and a letter from my accountant. They said I would have an answer within 2-3 days. Exactly 7 days later I get a call from a call centre agent (who sounds like a teenager) who offers to raise my limit by 2k. And in the same breath offering me a chance to appeal.
Appeal what?! Nedbank's incompetence?
So, after providing proof which shows I receive a decent wage and manage my accounts well and have a good credit rating, they reduce their offer by 3k.
What a waste of their own time, let alone mine!
Needless to say, I am not that desperate for a credit increase.
