Approve transaction without my approval

I bank with Nedbank and apply for a credit card in 2012. In December 2012 my credit card were on its limits. I have received a sms that state that there where a purchase on my credit card. I haven't done it. I immediately phoned Nedbank to stop the transaction because I haven't done any purchases on the credit card. The call center told me I must reverse the transaction and no reference number were provided. Nedbank has put through the transaction and my credit card went way over its limits. I have signed for a specific limit on my credit card. How is it possible that Nedbank can just put through a transaction if your credit limit is already reach??? And they haven't phoned me to get my authorisation for the transaction. Why do I have a credit limit if they just approve transactions like they want???
