Capitec Bank
Changed loan debit order without my knowledge

23/08/2013 my bank account was debited with the monthly instalment amount of my loans from Capitec. However, my instalment usually goes down on the 27th of each month (even noted 28th and 29th deductions). Because I did not have sufficient funds in my account, my bank charged me R115 for a failed debit deduction. I took the matter up with Capitec Tygervalley and the consultant that assisted was very helpful but they could not figure out why my debit order went down the the 23rd. I then noticed that the previous month (July) my instalment also went off earlier (24th) but was not aware of it because there was sufficient funds in the account. The consultant took the matter up with his regional manner who utterly refused to compensate me and maintained that it was my fault that I was suppose to let them know about my changed pay date. I have changed several jobs in the last 2 years and not once was this an issue as my pay date was normally before the 27th. Its been 2 weeks now and regional manager still maintains that he will not assist me. I never authorised, was never advised and never even knew that Capitec changed my debit order date. Not once have they contacted about the issue
