I went into the Randburg branch about 2 weeks ago to update my details including the OTP cell phone contact number. I tried to access my account today via internet banking and surprise surprise the OTP number was not updated. The old number is no longer in use so I called the internet banking department for assistance and the consultant refused to assist me because I did not have my account number. I gave her all the other information she asked me for ie bank card, ID number, address etc. I cannot access my account because someone at Standard Bank did not do his job properly, I called their call centre for assistance not to be further annoyed by their nonsense.
I have called for assistance before and not having my account number was not an issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor or team leader and she told me that all her superiors we not available and no one could help me. I am sick of Standard Bank's lack of attention to detail. It Is not convenient to get to a branch to rectify every mess up. Calling your call centre is equally painful as you are on hold for ever only to be told I cannot be assisted. a waste of my time and cell phone bill.
