First National Bank
FNB staff call Police to remove client

Hi

On the 30th August 2013, I made a purchase to the value of R2000. The speed point showed the transaction was declined and the incontact sms came through showing the R2000 reserved. I went to the Welkom branch of FNB to report this. The staff member was Gift who filled in the form for me and advised that I draw the money from the ATM and pay the merchant cash. I asked when I would have the reversal back in my account, I was told it would be Monday, 2 September. After no reversal, I went back to the same branch and was assisted by Jacky who advised that the forms only went through on the 2nd September and I would receive the reversal by Friday, 6 September. After no reversal, I went back to the same branch and was assisted by Renee who advised that the wrong forms were filled in. I told her that I would not leave the bank until my monies was returned. A manager, Reece Brown called me one side and said that they can't sort it out right away. I said that I would not leave until they resolved the problem. The police was called in to remove me from the building and was threatened with arrest for trespassing (I have the video). I was treated like a criminal for their incompetence.
