I took out a credit card with Nedbank in 2008, then in 2009 i decided i don't want it anymore, i then told them to cancel it, so i can pay it over 36 months, yes a couple of times i would pay them less, but would make up for that the next month, up untill the 36 months period was over, to my suprise when i checked my credit report in June this year, it showed a balance of R7 400 iam owing to them, i spoke to them about it, they then handed the matter to the lawyer who made me pay a R2 800 settlement to Nedbank, i did so, what i would like to know is that, before nedbank listed me, were they not supposed to call me and let me know i still owe them, then the lawyers if i did not adhere to the agreement? the list me for not paying them?
Because the lawyer only told me now, that they sent such letter to my old adress, and even after i paid them, they say my name will stay on the itc untill next year, i feel hard done here because iam not the only one at fault please help me
