I am absolutely fed up with Standard Bank's attitudde towards my mom.
To cut a long story short my mom (73) was the victim of a man who her debit card at an atm and then took R5000 from her account: See extract from my mail below:
"... 1) is it customary for a customer to wait over an hour before some one would pick up on the help line?? I supose it is as this happened quite a few times when she was trying to get an update
2) a lady called Shelley in a very rude tone told my mom nothing would get paid back as the card was?? Seriously??!! Yes the suspects somehow got it out while my mom was distracted!!
3) i know of 2 similar cases where the money was paid back one being an amount of R20000.00
So what is the issue?
Im sorry for this email as i do realize that these things happen but seriously the way my mom was adressed today is not on!!! Come on guys that was part of her pension"
