No refund on my case

I was the victim of on the Standard bank ATM on the 27 September morning, my card was after it got stuck on the ATM machine, as a result R5000 was withdrawn from my account, I called the Standard bank department and they closed all my cards and promised to do the investigation. After 10 days they came back to me and told me that they will not refund me since I called them after the withdrawal had been made from my account, they said if I called them before they would have refunded me. For me it does not make sense since the money was withdrawn in not more than 5 from the time my card was stuck on the machine, I was still trying to get the Standard bank number from the garage store keeper when the I got the notification that a withdrawal had been made from my account. I will like to get my money back since the * manipulated their ATM and I was a victim of their ATM not behaving normally.
