INCORRECT DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED

I had informed ABSA regarding an incorrect SARS refund made into my bank account in error due to my tax practitioner having submitted the wrong details for another of his clients.
SARS was unable to reverse the transaction as on their system the transaction as successful.
ABSA, my bank (sic), refuses to return the monies to SARS as their reason is that there is no account to reverse the transaction to. I don't have access to reverse the transaction as that payment effectively writes off my overdraft which I had made arrangements to pay off. ABSA had taken that money and basically settled my overdraft and despite sending numerous documents and emails both from myself, the tax practitioner and the person whom the monies belong to, ABSA still insists on further documentation!
the last time I checked, I was the account holder giving them an instruction yet they refuse.
ABSA is the worst bank EVER to deal with... I am so glad I changed to CAPITEC!!!
It amazes me that I have to pay for such pathetic service.
I am now left to deal with an extremely upset person who believes that I have taken her money and will not return it!
