When I joined with One plan I was told it was an insurance, but the explanation of this didn't make it seem any less different from a medical aid, but rather that it was better than a medical aid and had less restrictions.
I had to be admitted into hospital on the 30/03/2013 however One plan refused to let the hospital admit me and i stayed in the emergency ward till 2am trying to sort out the with One plan so that I could get the tests I needed to ascertain if I had an aggravated appendix or growth. Needless to say I was turned down by the hospital as the stupid One plan refused to assist me and I was on the "Elite" which is supposedly the best.
Now almost 2 years later, I have been handed over to the ITC by this company for an "excess" for being in the emergency ward... and when I ask the consultant at the customer services what it pertains to, he tells me its an insurance so like if I have car insurance and I bump my car, I have to pay the insurer an excess and that One Plan works on the same basis... what the is that? I do not remember being informed of this when I signed on, but in any case.
I vow to let everyone know to stay away from this "insurance"
