My dad is VERY ill. According to a specialist surgeon we saw he needs more tests done to determine what is wroing, if not he could face death.
Upon some confusion, it was confirmed that he is on Keycare Access plan, is only covered for medical emergencies in private hosp, else he needs to go to a state hosp. According to the website a medical emergency is as follows:
A medical emergency is the sudden and, at the time, unexpected onset of a health condition that needs immediate medical or surgical treatment. If you do not get this treatment serious impairment to bodily functions or dysfunction of a bodily organ or part, or your life would be placed in serious jeopardy.
The fact that my dad is probably dying is NOT ENOUGH of an emergency, he was refused admittance to the hospital. Upon a letter of motivation from our specialist, he was still refused treatment!
The fact that I pay a good amount of money monthly means that I need/want private hospital care. If the website properly explained how useless this Plan is, it would likely have NO members. Why would I want to pay to go to a state hospital? I'm om very set on cancelling my dad's membership: totally disgusted with Discovery
