I was admitted on the 9th of May 2013 in hospital and discharged on the 10th of May 2013. I submitted my claim and was informed in the beginning of August that in order for me to claim my insurance for my hospital plan I needed to be in hospital for 24 hours. I was admitted at 16:17 and discharged at 15:52. According to my policy documents "a Full day is deemed to have been spent in Hospital or Nursing Home if an insured Person was a resident in-patient at midnight on any day during the period of Hospital confinement" I do not understand how they now suddenly say I must be admitted for 24 hours before they payout.
