Hi
I received a phone call today from an call centre agent regarding my policy with FNB Insurance Brokers.
I was advised that they are changing underwriters and in doing so they need to confirm my details
After confirming my details I was asked to confirm my premium, the figure provided had increased in the last three days since my last debit order.
When I confronted the agent about this unacceptable increase I was informed it was due to them not previously having my residential address and this had cause the increase. I then opened up my Policy schedule I had available while the agent was on hold and this residential information was already in my policy. When informing the agent of this she quickly changed her story to inform me the increase was due to them changing underwriters.
I'm not happy with this unannounced and unplanned increase just because FNB wishes to adjust their own underwriters, this cost should not be passed onto their clients.
I need to know when my premium will be corrected to what I originally signed for or if i need to start looking for a new insurer.
