Liberty Medical Scheme
INCREASE OF MEDICAL CONTRIBUTION WITHOUT NOTICE

My son was a dep on my med aid and he turned 21 July. In May I got notice that he will have to go off and I send a request informing the m/aid that he is finish with his studies but not working and i wud like him to stay on. I was requested to send an affidavit which I did (email 21/05/2013) and I rec confirm 21/5 that they hav received the affidavit and the underwriters will look at it. On 3/6/2013 I rec an email from underwriters to sign and the premium on there was for R1753.25 for myself and my son. In light of this, I signed and email back. On 6/6/2013 I rec an email from m/aid (confirmation of m/aid for both at R1753.25 monthly and inception 1/7/2013. the 1st premium went of for R1753.25 and all of a sudden this month R2327.25 is been deducted of my bank account. On enquiry I am told the fee for my son is increased by R574.00 and that the M/Aid does not have to inform me if they increase, I should now a child dependent does not pay the fee of an adult. My frustration is that that I signed the acceptance for R1753.25 and was not told that it will increase in a months time but the M/Aid does not care about my complaint and will not accept my reasoning. PLEASE HELP.
