Following up on my complaint last year in which First for Women automatically sent me an annual increase to my car and house insurance of 24 % I again received an update of my house and car policy which was up for the annual renewal at 22 % . Only by phoning the call centre to lodge my dissatisfaction known did they offer to review the premium without decreasing the benefits. What was about R120 per month increase was reduced to about a R30 per month increase which was more in line with inflation. Work out the maths! Why o why do they get away with this unacceptable increase in premium - especially when no claims have been made. Watch out everyone for this type of practice... unless you know to phone and get them to renegotiate - they will charge you this unacceptable premium increase
