3D Secure protecting me from using my card

I tried to order some items online (which I need relatively urgently). After placing the order, I am informed that I need to verify through 3D secure. Unfortunately, 3d Secure refuses to load. I try at different times, using different browsers; from different PC's, all with the same result. I even use a card I got from your competition (in part due the fact that the poor functioning of 3d secure has gotten between me and time sensitive internet orders before, and it didn't require 3d secure).
Unfortunately, the opposition bank now also needs 3d secure, with the same effect.
I understand that is rife, and the bank needs to protect themselves and us, but sticking something in the middle that makes internet purchases impossible hardly seems to solve the problem.
Please solve this product or get something better - major reason for credit card is online purchase and convenience, both of which has gone out of the door "in my best interest"
