For the past 3 years, I have been the second driver on a VW Polo 1.9 tdi, 2004 model. I am the policy holder of and the insurance premium was debited from my bank account every month. Recently, on 12 August 2013, I was involved in a bumper bashing, where I drove into the car infront of me, and the lady in that vehicle subsequently drove into the car infront of her. Dial Direct then repudiated my claim, also refusing to pay for any 3rd party claims, with the result that I have to pay for both my car and the other driver's car. This is the first time in 3 years that I have tried to claim, and as I understand their reasoning for not approving my claim, I feel that they should've at least paid for the 3rd party claim. Dial Direct has since ammended my policy themselves, to a higher premium, but they still didn't list me as the regular driver. I have contacted them to correct this, but up until now, I have not received any communication from them. I will be changing my insurance company within the next few days.
