First National Bank
BRANCH MANAGER RE-OPENED MY ACCOUNT IN

My name is Thato Mabea and I closed my account at FNB Harding Branch last year, when I got to the branch I was told that manager is not available on that particular day to authorise this transaction. I told the lady who was serving me by the name Amanda (if I recall correctly) that I will not be able to drive back and stand in another queue. She said it's fine and assured me that there will be no additional costs incurred. However 2 days later she called and asked me to come into the branch as there is some additional paperwork to be signed and also to pay an amount of R47. 00 in order to finalise the closure. I drove to Harding to do this and paid and the teller gave me a note confirming that my account is closed.

However a few days later I was called by a VERY RUDE branch manager who informed that they made a MISTAKE but I cannot close this account because it has a tablet linked to it and I told him that I phone the tablet department to give them my new banking details. He further told me that this account CANNOT be closed and IT IS NOW OPEN AGAIN and I told him that I have proof that I personally closed this account inside the branch. I want this act of rectified.
