Standard Bank - "moving in reverse" is more apt

I have been having issues with Standard Bank to Standard Bank EFTs taking up to 72 Hours to clear. It sometimes takes more than 24 Hours for me to receive an sms to tell me funds have been deposited and then a further 48 hours for this to clear.
After doing some frustrating holding on and getting bounced from one operator to another, I finally took some time off and drove to my nearest branch, where I received a different set of answers and advised to deposit into another of my accounts. This did not work either.
Standard Bank seem to cover their Ases with a note saying "24 Hours", I fail to see how it can be quicker to deposit from Standard Bank to an FNB account quicker than from Std to Std & if the other banks can do same bank EFT's within a few minutes why is there this waiting time from Standard Bank???

Standard "something used as a measure, norm, or model in comparative evaluations" i.e. very normal!!!

After my second visit to the branch on Thursday last week, I was promised by a Team Leader that he would look into my issues and revert back to me, Thank goodness I am not holding my breath I would be turning blue... not moving forward or reverse... but stuck in neutral!!
