Missing money

After a Standard bank ATM swallowed my card once again on Sunday 28 July (leaving me highly embarrassed at Roman's after having to explain to them why I can no longer collect my order), I cancelled my card, while still standing at the ATM. On Monday 29 July, I called Standard bank because the R1000 that I had tried to draw AND DID NOT GET, had disappeared out of my account. After being transferred from agent to agent, a query was supposedly logged and I was told someone would get back to me within 12 working days (nice turnaround time for my own money). On Tuesday 30 July, I called again and explained that getting the money back was extremely urgent, as I had just started a new job after being unemployed for 7 months and I needed it for petrol. I was told the query would be escalated and I would receive feedback within 3 days. It's been 13 days since my last phone call and I am still sitting with nothing. I have no petrol money to get to my new job thanks to Standard Bank and no one seems to care enough to help me. Standard bank: Your service has become pathetic, your promises empty and I will be looking for a new bank that will keep my new salary safe, because you don't care!
