I was involved in a vehicle accident with a person insured by Santam which drove into me while I was legally parked and not even in the vehicle.
When submitting my claim I was requested to provide various documentation which was submitted. They also requested a vehicle registration certificate which I have misplaced and I therefore provided them with my licence renewal disc (which also proofs ownership as one cannot renew the licence without being the owner). The consultant for Santam, Zama Nene, repeatedly ignored my request to provide me with the National Legislation which stipulates that this is a requirement as well as my request to have a senior person contact me. The incompetence in mind numbing as I merely received the same sentence as a response each time. The people at Santam is clearly unable to attend to insurance matters and at this stage I am of the view that they are acting unlawfully and will take further steps.
I have been trying to finalise my third party claim and repair my car for more than 2 months now and will no longer tolerate the lack of service and complete substandard service.
