With assessment, you obtained and agreed to a quotation from Van Zyl`s Panelbeaters to the value of R12 369, 85 for the repair of this vehicle.
According to this assessment, you also obtained the M&M Value of the vehicle, from 01/06/2013, as R34 700. It is also noted that your salvage value is 68.4%
If my calculations are correct, and I believe they are, 68.4% of R34 700 is R23734, 80.
Yet, on a quotation obtained for R12 369, 85, it is decided that the vehicle should be written off.
How do you explain this decision, as the repair quotation received is over R10 000 less than the salvage value??
