Salary not being cleared

I started a new job in last year July and also opened my Elite Banking account around the same time.

My company pays us the last Friday of every month but they are saying that due to the fact that I am with another bank, (they are with FNB), my salary will only be cleared the next day. I phoned Standard bank and they told me that because I changed to the Elite account it's deemed as a 'new' account (even though I have been with them for over 20years and that it would take 3 months before my salary would be cleared the same day that the company does the EFT.

I also received an email from the Complaints Resolution Centre to say that they are seeing to my query and will get back to me, this was in August and I have not had any feedback! My salary is still only being cleared the Saturday each month which is pathetic! I have worked for companies who banked with other banks other than Standard and my salary would be in the same day as everyone else. I thought that salaries are supposed to be cleared immediately? When I called the Call Centre regarding this, no one could tell me. They argued that this was a new account... I would like some answers, preferably this lifetime!
