Very disappointed in Standard Bank

I have been a loyal customer with Standard Bank for eight years. I have never changed my banks since the inception of my accounts. My home loan is with Standard Bank and I have a very good track record. Two days ago on Thursday 09 January 2014 I applied for vehicle finance and to my disappointment it was a terrible experience. Upon the submission of my application, my current account was in a little overdraft and therefore the application declined. I then transferred funds immediately to clear this overdraft. I was then told that I need to visit a branch to get proof that the overdraft has been cleared. I then sent the proof that the funds have been cleared. After this my application was sent to the verification department to now investigate and verify that this funds have been cleared! I AM A STANDARD BANK CLIENT! Why do I need to send proof to my own bank that funds are cleared in my account? a Whole day has gone past since I sent this proof and I still have not received any feedback regarding my application. I this the way to treat your customers? I then took my business to another bank and I received approval within 8 Hours!
