I had requested change of banking details with the insurance at the end of May 2013 to my husband's account - Nedbank account.
The debit for the 1st of June went off on my account - FNB, therefore I did a reverse payment to avoid a double debit.
The Nedbank account was not debited till the 17th July in spite of the several calls I made to the insurance. I have an e-mailed document from the insurance with proof of change of bank details.
Inconvenience:
-Accumulating bank charges due to unauthorised debit
-Call costs
-Car Hire Fee (we were granted a car hire for 10 days before the 10th day we were requested to return the car) we were out of town and could only return it the following day, therefore we had to pay for that extra day;
Prior to us collecting the car hire we requested for the recording when I took the policy because I'm sure I agreed to pay additional so that we can receive a car hire for 20 days.
To date I have not received that recording.
-The assessor had authorised us to take the car to the panel beaters:
Therefore we had to collect the car, unfortunately the car had already been stripped and we had to collect it as is.
