I have a bond with standard bank since 2011 and have conducted it excellently since. Last Monday I called the homeloans division and made application for a concession on my rate. I was told that it would take about 48 hours and I was to call back on Wednesday. Upon calling back on Wednesday the consultant was rather confused as the application according to her was not logged. Nevertheless, I held on for minutes at a time only to be told that someone would call me later. I received that call the same day and to my huge disappointment I was told that the rate would not be reviewed with very little explanation.
I in turn asked for an e.mail to be sent to me explaining the details of the rejection of which I have to date not received.
So without a shadow of doubt, its safe to say that: ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY.
I find that this is unacceptable and would like for standard bank to review this case and get back to me within a reasonable timeframe.
