Don't believe everything they tell you

I got an sms telling me I qualified for an increased limit on my credit card. According to the website it is instantaneous and if you do it by telephone banking all you need is income and expenses. I go into the branch with my ID/payslip. They then tell me that i need three months bank statements. I have had this card for two years. I complain on this forum and they get someone called Peter to phone me. I explain that i did not ask for the increase - it was offered. He tells me I have to produce original bank statements. Again i read the website and again I see immediate and hassle free. The credit card back office keeps returning my query asking for my ID number which i have supplied three times. Peter tells me that the limit i have on my card is ridiculously low which i know but if i try accept their offer i get given the run around. Not good
