I was contacted by Direct Axis about a personal loan. They asked me if they could share my contact details with third parties. I said NO and I was informed that they could not proceed with the application. How can that be a condition of an application, to give up my right to privacy and to not be solicited at all hours by telephone sales people that are selling who knows what! Is this even lawfull? Is my contact details shared with third parties worth more than my business as a client. I will query this with the Consumer Protector and The National Credit Regulator.
