Loan account requested to be closed in March

I had a Personal loan with FNB, which was settled, utilizing a settlement letter received from them the next day of receiving the letter called them to ensure receipt of payment advised it was and it will take 3 days to close, however needed to call back to ensure it was, which I returned to their clearwater branch to make the call from there. Advised yes it will be done. To my suprise a debit order went off after not coming off as obviously account was closed or so I thought. Interest accumulated as services fee was charged, I was told this would be sorted by an agent who advised she could see I have been trying to resolve this matter for a while now. Now the admin department made a note to the lady who escelated this matter advising i'm not lagible for a refund as debit order for some month was reversed which is not true. They're mess has now become my problem, using their arrogance as the could blacklist me if I just go to my bank and do a stop payment which I wil be charged for. The account was supposed to be closed, therefore there should not even be a debit order for this settled and closed loan account. Somebody deal with this and fast as I have had it.
