Almost 3 weeks ago my car had a breakdown, I stopped by the mall for a few minutes and when I returned the ignition didn't not start. The car had to be towed to a Mercedes Benz Dealer because of a faulty staring control unit.
When the Mercedes Benz agent called SA WARRANTIES, he was told by Thulane at SA WARRANTIES that I was not covered.
When I phoned to enquire, Trevor told me that my policy had expired in 2012 and that I was not covered. As requested by Trevor, I sent him a copy of my Policy as proof that I purchased my Policy on 08/08/2012. He promised to return to me but 5 days later still no answer.
I phoned SA WARRANTIES again and spoke to Thulane. He told me a similar story but this time he said that my policy had expired in 2011. As requested by him, I also send him proof but now he is not answering my calls or returning my call or responding to my email.
According to the Policy Schedule, Introduction on page 2 clause 1 and page 4 clause 2.1.1, I am covered.
According to the policy Schedule page 11, clause 8.9 and clause 8.21, I am covered.
The last person I spoke to at SA WARRANTIES, Les Marema, also told me that I am not covered which i disagree with.
