I requested a price to settle my loan and was given the "Settlement Quote" and instructions to follow once settled' (Fax Proof of Payment through) I settled the Loan and faxed through the proof as per the instructions, I received confirmation that my loan was settled and the account was removed from my profile as it was fully paid up. On Friday evening I received notification of a demand Debit being made on my account for the monthly instalment of the loan amount, when I contacted the Loans Department on the Saturday (based on the number on the website) I was advised that they can only attend to my query on the Monday. Monday I contacted them again and was advised that the reason the debit was demanded was that they had no proof of the loan being settled, after advising the bank that I was given proof of it being settled by them, they advised that they will investigate and if it is indeed settled refund my instalment back after 72 hours without reimbursement of Bank Charges as I should have referenced the payment. I do not underswtand how it is possible to provide a letter to say thank you for setteling your account and then advise me that it is my fault that the debit went off
