I am not happy at all with the way that claims have been handled.
I am having to deal directly with Hollard to TRY and get my claims paid out.
The whole purpose of having a broker is so that you have someone your side to assist in getting the claims paid out.
I feel that PSG have not been assisting me but rather "passing the buck" and making my life more difficult.
When it comes to renewing my policy and taking my money it is not an issue and easily done, but when it comes to claiming and getting paid out IT IS A NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH PSG & HOLLARD.
You are required to submit a claim form with a quote or invoice and a damage report, but once you have had the damaged items checked by a reputable company/supplier of the items and the items are beyond economical repair and need to be replaced (I purchased the replacements of the damaged items immediately as i have done on other claims previously) PSG now want all the items to be retested by their repairers.
Numerous reports (7) have since been obtained from various suppliers and manufacturers all saying items must be replaced when damaged by lightning or power surge. BUT THESE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR PSG OR HOLLARD
