My car died on me whilst driving home on N2 Cape town last night. I called my own Insurance company (Auto and General), but they could not pick up my policy, and refused to assist. I called them more than once, and they claimed that due to some system issue, they couldn't pick up my policy. At this point I started to panic, as it was getting dark, I was alone in a dangerous area, and it seemed as though no one wanted to help!
My friend then called her insurance company (1st for women), and advised them that I needed assistance, and if they could please help. Shamla then called me, and immediately helped me by calming me down, and assuring me that all will be ok. She arranged for a towtruck to come out to me. within minutes the towing company called me, to confirm what my location was.
Shamla then called me every few minutes, just to find out if I was ok, despite me telling her that a traffic officer was waiting with me, that I was safe.
Even after I got home, and was having supper already, she called a final time, just to check up on me!
I am now considering moving to 1st for women, because as a paying consumer, I feel that your good service is what I deserve!
