Hi
Towards the end of the month of May 2013, I placed an order for a MacBook Pro retina, of which the monthly payment is R799.00, totaling up to R20 000 over 24 months. I received my device with not much wait. However, upon opening the box I found a total of 3 scratches on my device. The very same day I called FNB and reported this to them and was told I would be contacted within 24 hours for this matter to be resolved.
Without much joy, I was not contacted and let it slide as they were only scratches on a brand new device right? One month later (03 July 2013) my one month old MacBook pro begins having hardware issues, issues with the fans not working properly among other things. This has all been an inconvenience to me as I had to find an istore, have my device booked in and sent to JHB (I'm in Durban) and will now be without a laptop for 2 weeks.
I feel that this could've all been avoided had FNB contacted me within the week even, to resolve this issue. Paying that amount of money for a device and recieving damaged goods is not very professional courtesy on FNB's part.
Extremely upsetting
