My name is Nyasha Mapolisa. I stay in Xanadu Estate which is in Hartsbeespoort in the North West province. I came to Cape Town to visit a cousin who stayed in tygervalley for a month. While l was there, I came to your golf club and spoke to Candice about my options. I said l would only take the month since l was going to be around for just one month. I have been seeing this debit order come off my account but l thought it was my husband’s membership in Pretoria. There is a month you debited me twice so l asked my husband why his golf club had double debited us. He then explained that this was not a debit order which he signed up for.
I then called my banker and they gave me your details. In short, my account was being debited erroneous for the last three years. I did not sign up for a an auto renewal month on month contact because l do not stay in Cape Town. You can check for your records and see that l have not been to the golf club in the last three years. It makes no sense for me to sign up for ongoing membership in a city l don’t stay in and only come once or twice a year.
The club has refused to refund me the erroneous subscriptions which have been coming off my account.
