On 4 July 2013 I received an sms from the bank stating that a purchase for just over R 6400 had been made at Lufthansa using my cheque card. The transaction was and I call the department of the bank immediately to report the transaction.

The bank stopped my card and gave me a case number.

On 11 July 2013 I received an email from the bank to say that the transaction never came of my account and that the matter had been resolved. On the 11th when I checked my statement the transaction had not come off my account.

On Saturday 15 July 2013 I was checking my statement and then realized that on 12 July 2013 (the day after the bank told me the matter was resolved) the transaction came off my account.

When I called the department today, they said I need to resend my original affidavit and that it will take 10 workings days to resolve the matter.

So it has been 2 weeks and nothing has really been done, and now I need to wait another 2 weeks to be refunded.

I find this unacceptable, as the transaction should have been stopped when I first reported it.

Now it appears that I will have to wait basically a month to get my money back.
