Incompetence and Poor Service - Yet Again & Again

2 months ago I was unable to withdraw money or perform any banking as ABSA had frozen all my accounts. After my branch investigated, they claimed it was due to the Home Loan Accts Division needing a copy of my ID - despite my bond account being a nil balance!! Anyway, a copy was provided and I was assured I would not be left stranded again without being able withdraw money or perform any banking.

A month later, the same problem happened. Once again, I was assured this was resolved and would not happen again.

Last night, I tried to make a withdraw. And, yep, you guessed it. I was unable to do so and was unable to contribute my cash portion for a meal I had with friends (how embarrassing). I phoned first thing this morning to try and resolve my problem only to be told there was no one in the department this morning that could assist. So, I'm left with no money again for the whole weekend.

ABSA - your service is shocking, stinks of incompetence and this is the last straw. I threatened to close my account the last times. This time it's not a threat - you have lost a client of over 20 years!!
