Very very shocked with the attitude of absa and the manner in which they investigate cloning. my card was cloned on the 3 june 2013 at Makro and during the evening and am of the 4 june just over a R1000 was taken out of my account. i reported it to DBN NORTH ABSA and was advised that it would go through to their forensic dept. i was told not to open a case with the police as the forensic dept would make contact with me and advise me accordingly. well i never heard from them and tracked a number down on the 12 june and as i did not have my absa case number they couldnt help i then made contact with them on the 13/june only to be told that they were not going to pay me back as the card was not cloned. are they out of their minds as how can money disappear out of my account. well the stories they tell me are a joke . absa do not give a hoot about their clients and are providing a insecure banking / cloning system. watch your money or is an inside job.
