Last Saturday morning 26th January, I noticed that R1000 had been withdrawn from my account on two separate occasions, one for R1000 on 25th and the other for R1000 on 26th. I immediately rushed up to the bank and reported the incident and although I stood in the queue for a very long time, was eventually assisted. My card was immediately cancelled and a new card issued and a report filed with their Forensic Investigations. I was told at the time that it could take up to two months to resolve the matter and whether or not I got my money back was dependent on the outcome of the investigation.

I was absolutely amazed when I received an sms and later a telephone call on Tuesday 29th January to say that they had indeed found that my card had been cloned and that my money has been refunded, including the bank charges for the two transactions.

Kudos to ABSA. Absolutely fantastic. Everyone I have spoken to is very impressed with their excellent service!
