It is has now been well over a month of attempting to receive my home loans cancellation documents from Standard Bank. It has been holding up the selling of my property as we are ONLY waiting for these documents.
As a client of Standard Bank for over 25 years I have NOT received any service. One can not speak to the cancellations department in person, you have to submit a request through the call centre for them to phone you. This takes another 3 days and when eventually called by Lidia she said the documents were sent on 3 June so would reach the cancellation attorneys on 6 June. It is more than 10 days later and we have NOT received it. The attorneys have submitted a request for these documents THREE times on Standard Bank's system - which obviously do not work. They promise this will take only 3 days but it is now more than a month.
I am off to FNB!
