The seller we bought the house from, sold it with a shortfall. The transferring attorneys requested bond cancellation figures on the 3rd of Sep '13. According to an update from the attorneys everything was done by 19 Sep '13 - except for the figures from Standard Bank! By the 26th of Sep '13 we were still waiting for documents from Standard Bank.By 14 Oct '13 still no document! Another 9 days (23 Oct '13) went by - still no document! By then the transferring attorney asked the seller to put pressure on Standard Bank (which is not his job). On the 28th Oct '13 an e-mail was sent to Thomas Smeers at Standard Bank which was sent to Legal Cancellations, Brent Noble and Phumzile Thomo to assist the attorneys with acknowledgement of debt (shortfall). Another e-mail sent to above mentioned employees - 5 Nov '13. Brent Noble asked Darren Govender via e-mail on 6 Nov '13 to assist the attorneys with the matter. After a week (13 Nov '13) - still no document! Somewhere someone is not doing their work! It's been weeks already! All the participants in this matter awaits urgent attention! I will NEVER recommend Standard Bank for ANYTHING!!!
