Settled my vehicle finance a few years back with ABSA while out of the country. Now I want to sell my vehicle and I asked them if they have the reg documents. First I get told to send a fax, then I called for an e-mail address and sent this on Monday morning. No acknowledgment of receipt. Called this morning and was given a tel number and an extension and it is constantly engaged. 7 -10 working days to tell me if you simply have the docs or not. If you have them I will even collect them from your offices. Bearing in mind that when someone is selling a vehicle they are most likely buying a new one which I am and I know who is not going to get the new finance application. While I understand that this was some time back I don't understand why something like this cannot be looked up on a system somewhere.
