Me and my wife recently visited the SLO Lounge (great service!) on our way to holiday shortly after opening an account with FNB. It was with shock that I noticed a hefty R250 charge per person per visit on my account after we returned! I was never asked to enter my pin or received an sms for these transactions! (Is this even legal?)Neither did the lady at the SLO lounge inform me of this otherwise I would have surely gone to the Bidvest lounge which we usually use.
I am truly disappointed in the way these charges were hidden. Even though I spent more than the allocated R5000 and qualified for the Platinum package it seems I may have missed one of the other numerous fine prints which I now see everyone is complaining about here too.
I feel tricked and will promptly be closing my account here. What a greedy approach. Luckily I haven't yet moved my homeloan and other accounts over too.
I do though see prompt responses from FNB, so I hope this gets to the right person.
