I was previously unemployed and when I started working again, I made arrangements with African bank to pay them R400 per month. The first premium went off correctly, but last month they took off more than half mu salary. I immediately called the legal office call centre to advise them of what happened as I don't even now have money to go to work. The agent advised me that a team leader will call me the same evening. I called in on 27 May 2013 and its the 1st of June today. Nobody hs contacted me and my money has still not been refunded. I was advised it takes 72 hours to refund me. I was asked by the agent if I wanted a refund and I confirmed yes on the recorded call. I was advised that they will definitely refund me accordingly. I am definitely taking this further because according to the Credit act they are not allowed to do that if arrangements was in place!!
