2010 June I closed my cheque account @ Menlyn Park Pretoria. I was owing the Bank R656.44 which was accumulated because of Assupol debit orders, which they said I have to pay before I close the account of which I did. But I have been receiving calls, SMS from lawyers telling me to pay. when I told them that account have been closed long time ago, they demand proof, I send proof of payment they stop calling then I will be approached by new lawyers. The other lawyers told me they want the letter from the bank which I have destroyed long time ago and when i go to the bank they cant assist me as they cant access my account so I dont know what to do. @ menlyn they did send proof of payment to the Standardbank Legal Department, but up until today I am receiving messages from different lawyers especially month end. I just want the Bank to notify everyone working for them that, that account have been closed.
