Bad Customer Service from Standard Bank

I have reached the end of my tether with Std Bank, and am resorting to publish my complaint here in the hope that someone from the bank will react. I have been trying to pay-off my credit card since 2011. During this time I repeatedly asked for updated statements from Std Bank but to no avail. In May this year (2013) I was suddenly told that my account had been closed and the matter handed over to Std Bank's lawyers. I phoned their lawyers and sent them a document showing exactly how much I had already paid off. In return the lawyers sent me a statement with added costs that I am now responsible for! They are now charging me for things such as:

"Correspondence and attendances"
"Collection commission"
"Registered mail"
"Registered postage"

Surely Std Bank is responsible for the above costs?? After all they are the lawyer's client??

Furthermore I have been asking for account details to resume paying them but no one at Std Bank OR the lawyers are able to help me. I've been to the bank, I've phoned the bank, I've emailed and spoken to the lawyers and nothing... I WANT to continue to pay but they seem to WANT to make it difficult for me.

Getting info out of them is hugely trying.
