Yet again I'm struggling with Absa bank and their accounts department. I was under debt counselling for a couple of years and went through all the steps as required by the NCR to register and notify my creditors etc. Got my court order and paid my debts in full as per the court order. I got my clearance certificate saying I'm paid up in full. Absa howewer decided I still owe them R32k and change. I then got statements for this after a huge struggle and sent it through to my debt counsellors to calculate and see whether its valid. After calculations as per court order they came to a total of R793 (NPDA stated I'm fully paid up). Absa decided they are above the NCR and court order and sent me a statement again stating that the "new" balance is R6051, 15. Again all the forms of the counselling, NPDA, court order, break down of payments etc. was sent through and I got no response! They were charging 10% higher than maximum of NCA. This has been going on for more than 8 months since I was cleared and was deemed rehabilitated.
