Firstly I found out that for the past few YEARS my ebuck rewards have not been "connected" to my account because I did not actify the "marketing question" when I opened my account. Firstly the account was opened for me by the company I was working for at the time. It was never explained to me that this was a prerequisite in getting any rewards. I contacted FNB, laid my complaint and requested that my Ebucks be backdated. The branch informed me that I should have know this because it is advertised through various media forms. When I asked them to send me one example where it states that Ebucks rewards can only be earned by activating the "yes"option to receive marketing material, they just said I should ask the branch??? Was this even applicable 5 years ago when I opened by account? Piece of advice - stick to "beep" bank because when it comes to taking responsibility FNB quite quickly passes the buck... AND LASTLY - NOTHING IN THE WORLD IS FREE - make sure you understand all their prerequisites for getting REWARDS before thinking that your bank has value added products!!! YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE FNB
