I'm not going to go into specifics regarding my complaint. Its rather simple, I started the account switching/iPad deal process early March. Its now end of May and after 2 complaints, many calls, several branch visits, lots of forms and a confirmation towards the end of April that it was finally sorted out, it is still not finalized (and no iPad). It seems that the "Steve" adverts (which I enjoy quite a lot) are just a cover and that FNB is just like most other banks.

2. iPad Deal - the headache continues (08/04/2013) - to be fair, there was a response from FNB asking for more detail so they could follow up, but no contact details to who I could send the details. I couldn't re-submit a report about FNB for 5 days (rule on hellopeter) and then due to work commitments I forgot to do it (once again, to be fair, that was my fault).
